The Strength and Conditioning Coach will design and implement sport-specific training programs aimed at enhancing athletic performance. This role focuses on developing strength, speed, agility, and endurance while prioritizing injury prevention through individualized training plans, nutrition guidance, and evidence-based practices. The coach will work closely with sport coaches and medical staff to ensure athletes are physically prepared to meet the demands of their sport.
Program Design: Develop, implement, and supervise evidence-based strength and conditioning programs for individuals and teams.
Athlete Assessment: Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to evaluate physical readiness, monitor progress, and individualize training plans.
Technique & Safety: Instruct and reinforce proper exercise techniques, supervise weight training sessions, and maintain a safe and effective training environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with head coaches, athletic trainers, and physical therapists to ensure training programs align with team objectives and rehabilitation protocols.
Education: Provide guidance on nutrition, recovery strategies, mental fatigue management, and injury prevention best practices.
Motivation & Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and support athletes in achieving peak performance and personal development goals.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of athlete performance, training loads, and progress data.
Needs Analysis: Conduct an annual needs analysis for each sport in collaboration with sport coaches and athletic trainers at the conclusion of each competitive season.
Program Administration: Design, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with established Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards and Guidelines.
