The Role


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or emerging Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our highly supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary who are focused on delivering high quality clinical service delivery, evidence-based practice and learning, and child and family-centred practice.


At Macquarie University Health Kids (MU Health Kids), we offer a varied and stimulating caseload comprising of babies, children and adolescents with complex neurological and musculoskeletal disabilities, hypermobility syndromes, genetic conditions, developmental delay and children presenting with concerns relating to lower limb alignment or atypical development. As a Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will deliver evidence-based and goal directed physiotherapy assessment and intervention across outpatient and community settings.


Within this role, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in service development and student education activities, as well as potential clinical research opportunities.

About You

You will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, preferably with a background in medical reception and the confidence to work across multiple systems and screens. You are a caring individual with professional verbal and written skills. Previous working experience in an imaging clinic performing reception duties and booking appointments over the phone will be highly regarded.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration;

  • One to two years of post graduate experience in providing physiotherapy services to infants, children and or adolescents in an outpatient and/or community setting

  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work within a broad multidisciplinary team to provide collaborative care;

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, service development and student education.


Role Specific Conditions

Note: This position requires you to comply with occupational screening, assessment and vaccination requirements in line with Macquarie University Health policies. This includes:

  • AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist

  • Working with Children Check Clearance

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • Immunisation Check

  • Criminal History Check
