Description
  • Work with patients who have a range of conditions, including neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, pediatrics and geriatrics.

  • Perform an appropriate assessment and reassessment on all patients related to physical Therapy.

  •  Develop physical therapy plan of care and treatment in conjunction with patients,   families and healthcare team.

  • Communicate with other healthcare professional such as orthopedist, neurologist, GP, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients.

  • Keep up-to-date with new techniques and technologies available for physiotherapy.

  • Manage clinical risks.

  •  Able to evaluate treatment effect, recommend change to physician if needed.

  •  Evaluate effectiveness of learning, patient’s family is included in teaching as appropriate.

  •  Interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care and confers with the individuals most closely associated with the patient and keep them informed on patient needs, treatment modifications and progress.

  • Document appropriately on the medical record for all rehabilitation services, physical therapy assessments and evaluations performed for the inpatient.

  • Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity.

  • Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly. Maintain department cleanliness and safety.

  •  Communicate appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff and administrative team.

  •  Coordinate and direct patient care to ensure patients’ needs are met and hospital policy is followed.

  •  Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.

  •  Maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other department.

  • Complete competency assessment based on personal performance.

  • Assist with inventory of material and supply for the physical therapy function of the department.

Qualifications
Qualification
  •  Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy

Experience
  • Not less than 2 years of experience. (no experience required for candidates with graduation from any university inside UAE)

Knowledge /

Technical Skills

  • Ability to evaluate, develop plan of care and treatment, treats effectively interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care

Personal Abilities /

Competencies

  • Good time management, tolerance and patience, interpersonal skill, teamwork skills, good physical health and fitness Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a stressful environment.
