Industry & Sector: Healthcare — Outpatient Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic (ambulatory care delivering musculoskeletal, neurological and post-operative rehabilitation services). This is an on-site clinical role based in Nabagram, Siliguri.

Position: Physiotherapy Assistant (On-site) — fem-ale candidates preferred

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the physiotherapist in delivering treatment plans: prepare patients, set up modalities, and support therapeutic exercise sessions.
• Operate and maintain electrotherapy devices (TENS/IFC, therapeutic ultrasound) and other basic equipment under therapist supervision.
• Support patient transfers, mobilization, gait training, and safe use of assistive devices to maximise independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, pain scores, and immediate clinical responses during and after therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate rehabilitation documentation, update progress notes, and communicate changes to the treating physiotherapist promptly.
• Ensure infection-control standards, clean/sterilise equipment, and keep the treatment area organised for efficient clinical flow.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Nursing or paramedic background (certificate/diploma) with hands-on patient-care experience.
• Practical knowledge of electrotherapy modalities and basic physiotherapy techniques.
• Experience in patient mobilization, transfers, and gait training in a clinical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent first-aid certification preferred at hire or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to maintain clinical records accurately and follow treatment protocols.
• Fluent in local language(s) (Bengali/Hindi) and basic conversational English for reporting and documentation.

Preferred

• Prior experience in an outpatient physiotherapy or rehabilitation clinic.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records or basic clinical software.
• Fem-ale candidates preferred to support gender-sensitive patient care needs.
