We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Emergency Department. In this role, you’ll work under the supervision of registered nurses to provide critical and non-critical emergency care, performing assessments, treatments, and technical tasks in accordance with NH Patient Care Protocols. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to assess, plan, and evaluate patients plan of care and complete tasks needed to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- Synthesizes data from basic situations to determine priorities for care; includes physical, psychosocial and educational needs. Recognizes need for and collects assessment data prior to communications with others. Able to identify abnormal findings. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Develop a plan of care.
- Responds promptly and positively to patients, families, co-workers and all other in a respectful, courteous and confidential manner.
- Greets patients, families, co-works and others in a calm, professional, friendly manner; makes eye contact, initiates conversation, and identifies self by name.
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of Cottage Hospital and department policies and procedures. Reviews policy and procedure updates from managers and organization. Supports Cottage Hospital/Nursing mission, vision, values, and goals.
- Able to identify and report any incident that seems unusual or deficient to supervisor/charge nurse. Knows where to find resources to answer questions.
- Attends staff meetings, completes assignments on time, identifies own learning needs and obtains necessary education to meet requirements of position.
- Applies education and training to daily work to enhance job knowledge and skills. Reviews learning needs with manager to set ongoing professional development on an annual basis.
