The lifeguard is responsible for monitoring swimmers and beach goers to ensure their safety. They must be vigilant, proactive, and able to respond quickly to any potential dangers or emergencies that may arise.<\/span>

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p><\/div>

  • Patrol designated water areas to monitor swimmers and beach activities.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide assistance and emergency care to individuals in distress.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Communicate effectively with beach visitors and provide guidance on water safety.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with other lifeguards and emergency services when needed.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain equipment and keep the beach area clean and organized.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Explain and enforces policies, rules and regulations to ensure the safety of patrons.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lifeguards must document any incidents that occur on their watch and report them to their supervisors for further investigation or follow -up<\/span>.<\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • The applicant must have at least five (5) CXC subjects including English and Mathematics<\/span>
      Current certification in lifeguard training, CPR, and first aid.<\/span>
      Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water rescue techniques.<\/span>
      Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.<\/span>
      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/span>
      Physical fitness and stamina to perform rescues and provide assistance as needed.<\/span>
