In this essential position, you will manage public safety and administrative tasks by leading the Waterfront Program at Presque Isle State Park through the Lake Erie Lifeguard Supervisors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of swimmers and park visitors, reducing the risk of accidents and drownings in Lake Erie. This role encompasses planning, organizing, and evaluating the program, which includes setting goals, standards, and procedures.
You will also assess staffing needs for lifeguards and supervisors, oversee the hiring process, and manage supply orders. Additionally, you will coordinate training sessions in lifesaving and safety, organize special events like the Lifeguard Competition and Discover Presque Isle Days, conduct daily briefings for staff, create the Master Schedule for assignments and time off, and handle payroll documentation and issues.
