Monitoring expenditures; applying costs and techniques; coordinating maintenance schedule relating to the general repair and maintenance of firefighting equipment; inspecting equipment and ordering maintenance repairs as needed; establishing and maintaining vendor relationships and serve as a department liaison; maintaining property control inventory records of firefighting and EMS equipment, supplies, materials, inputting data into inventory database; assisting with annual department-wide inventory upkeep and reporting.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE/RECOVERY ACTIVITIES: All employees will be required to work before, during, or after an emergency. During an emergency employees may temporarily be assigned to work and perform duties outside the normal scope of their position, location and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Must meet physical requirements for State Firefighter Certification. Position requires ability to reach, climb, pull push, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, jump, run and drive without restrictions limitations.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Must be at the rank of firefighter or above.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Certificate of Compliance from the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards as well as maintain an EMT or Paramedic certification with the State of Florida. Additional certifications may be required.
