Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersĀ in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
  • Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
